Accepted and waiting...

So I am officially beyond excited for July next year when I will be jetting off to Florida to work for 12 months at Walt Disney World!!!

I first heard about the program at Uni last month when I saw a poster advertising the information session whilst standing in the ATM line, (fate!). I have always wanted to work for Disney and am OBSESSED with all the classic Disney films, that I thought: “wow this could be a really interesting information session…maybe I should attend.”

The information session was the following week. The day came and I had just sat a Journalism in-class test and was talking to my friend Sarah and told her about the information session. I was saying how I wasn’t sure if I would go because I couldn’t be bothered and I didn’t know anything about it, but Sarah convinced me I might as well go and see what it was all about.

So thanks to Sarah I stayed at Uni and listened to the Disney presenters, only to find I would have the opportunity to interview for a position that very day! It was all very rushed and I literally ran all over uni trying to get everything done before my interview, but I managed to make it back in time forms printed, sweating and puffing.

The Interview I felt went very well, which is obviously true because about two weeks later I received my acceptance email from STB!

I had briefly mentioned that I had applied to my Dad, who wasn’t to fond of the idea because I wouldn’t be making much money and he thought I would be wasting my year. However, eventually he was convinced (well not really convinced, but he realised he couldn’t stop me going…) and, of course, I accepted.

And now here I am it is only October, and I am literally counting the days until July when Disney will become my reality!

I just got an email from Disney welcoming me to the program, and giving me a checklists of things I need to organise which has just made it that much more real, and I am so much more excited!

My friends all seem pretty happy for me, hopefully they will miss me because I will definitely miss them! And I know I will be jealous every time I stalk their facebook pages and see that they are having good times without me!!! But hopefully I will make some good friends in the US of A and will enjoy myself too much to be homesick.

So i dont usually blog, but in this case i will because it will give me the oppoturnity to keep all my friends and family updated when i am away, and also if i ever get amnesia i can relive my experience by read my blog! lol

Okay, well that’s it for now I guess I will update this blog as I think of more stuff to write!!

PS. TOTES going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, CAN NOT wait!
